Terms and conditions
Last updated 30 August 2026
These terms govern your use of clipppics, the Mac clipboard manager, and this website. By downloading, installing, or using clipppics, or by subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use clipppics.
Who you are contracting with
clipppics is provided by Pastry ("we", "us", "our"). Your agreement to use clipppics is with us. You can reach us at tema@clipp.pics; our postal address is in our privacy notice.
Payments are handled by Paddle, not by us. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and subscriptions. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. When you buy a subscription you enter into a separate contract of sale with Paddle, governed by Paddle's buyer terms.
You must be at least the age of majority where you live and have the legal capacity to enter these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
What clipppics is
clipppics is a clipboard manager for the macOS menu bar. It records text, images, and copied files as you copy them and hands them back when you press ⌘⇧V. It requires macOS 26 or later.
Your clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac. We do not receive it, and it is not transmitted to us. What we do collect is described in our privacy notice.
Your licence
Subject to these terms and to payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use clipppics on Macs you own or control, for the purpose it is offered and within the plan you have selected.
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute clipppics;
- circumvent or interfere with any technical limits, licensing checks, or subscription gating;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse clipppics or this website. In particular, you must not:
- Use it unlawfully — for any purpose that breaks the law that applies to you, or in breach of any applicable export control or sanctions rules.
- Commit fraud or send spam — including fraudulent payment activity, chargeback abuse, or using clipppics to send unsolicited bulk messages.
- Infringe intellectual property — including using clipppics to copy, store, or distribute material you have no right to.
- Interfere with security — including introducing malware, probing or scanning our systems, attempting unauthorised access, scraping, or placing unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
You are responsible for the content you capture, store, and paste with clipppics, and for keeping any credentials used to access your subscription confidential.
Intellectual property
clipppics, including the software, its documentation, this website, and the clipppics name and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms grant you a licence to use it; they do not transfer ownership of anything to you.
The clipboard content you capture remains yours. We claim no rights in it, and because it stays on your Mac we never receive it.
Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation
clipppics is free to use for 7 days from the first time you open it. The trial requires no payment method and no account, is granted per Mac, and simply ends — it is not a subscription and does not turn into one.
Paid plans are sold as subscriptions, billed monthly or annually as you choose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. A subscription begins when you subscribe, which is a separate step you take yourself after, or during, the trial.
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, the commercial terms of your purchase — pricing, currency, taxes, billing frequency, renewal, payment methods, invoicing, and cancellation mechanics — are governed by Paddle's buyer terms. Prices shown at checkout include any tax Paddle is required to collect for your location.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy.
We may change our prices. A change will not affect the billing period you are already in, and we will give you reasonable notice before it applies to a renewal.
Availability
We work to keep clipppics and this website working properly, but we do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Software of this kind is not warranted to be free of bugs.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give you reasonable notice.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to clipppics, in whole or in part, if:
- you materially breach these terms;
- payment for your subscription fails and is not resolved through the normal retry and dunning process;
- we reasonably believe there is a security or fraud risk, to you, to us, or to others; or
- you repeatedly or seriously violate the acceptable use rules above.
Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. On termination your licence ends and you must stop using clipppics. Your clipboard history is stored on your own Mac and is unaffected by termination; you can delete it yourself at any time with Clear History.
You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling clipppics.
Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, clipppics is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us for clipppics in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice, for example by email to the address on your subscription or by a notice on this site. Continuing to use clipppics after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the courts of the Republic of Korea have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
You may not assign or transfer these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
